Sketching Stories, Connecting the dots

Unclothed, Uncoded, Unfiltered

These sketches emerged from a sustained practice of observational figure drawing and human-centered inquiry. Created during live model sessions, they document moments of looking, understanding, and interpreting the human body beyond convention, symbolism, or social identity.

The work explores the nude form not as an object of representation but as a condition of presence. Stripped of costume, status, profession, and narrative, the body becomes a universal language through which gesture, tension, vulnerability, confidence, and humanity are revealed.

Each page captures a different layer of observation, from rapid gestures and anatomical studies to tonal explorations and expressive marks. The drawings trace an evolving process of seeing: learning to recognize structure beneath skin, emotion within posture, and individuality within shared human form.

The title, Unclothed, Uncoded, Unfiltered, reflects a broader reflection on authenticity. In a world increasingly shaped by labels, identities, algorithms, and curated personas, the nude body remains one of the few subjects that exists before categorization. These sketches investigate that space of honesty and directness.

Nude is Natural—unmasked and unmade.
Nude is Necessary—a return to the source.
Nude is Noble—honest without adornment.
Nude is Nuanced—more than what meets the eye.
Nude is Nameless—beyond labels or roles.
Nude is Nurturing—soft in its strength.
Nude is Nonconforming—a rebellion in stillness.
Nude is Notable—seen, felt, and remembered.
Nude is Naked—tender, trembling truth.
Nude is Nonverbal—a language of flesh and form.
Nude is Nonjudgmental—free from shame or spectacle.
Nude is Nirvana—a state of pure being.

Together, the sketches form a visual meditation on observation, embodiment, and the quiet complexity of being human.

This book is collection of short stories inspired from life experiences of Sanjeevani Bokil. She is a renowned poet with 24 books published in Marathi & Hindi covering poetry, novels, and story books for children. Book published on 16th June, 2021 by famous actress @sonalikul Sonali Kulkarni and in the presence of veteran actress @jyotisubhash47 Jyoti Subhash.

Embarking on my SCAD journey in Savannah, I discovered a passion for capturing the city's architectural grandeur through sketches. This ongoing series, initiated in fall 2023, encapsulates Savannah's diverse styles - Federal, Greek Revival, Italianate, and more. Using various mediums, each stroke depicts the intricate details and historical essence of these structures. Join me in this visual expedition, where each sketch narrates the city's rich heritage. From the moss-draped oaks to the ornate facades, every piece reflects the allure that drew me to this charming city. Follow along as I delve into Savannah's architectural treasures, capturing their timeless beauty.

In my six-month stay in Shimla, I sketched the essence of Pahadi cities, their architecture, culture, and people using simple black ink on paper. These sketches portrayed the distinctive character of steep staircases, mud houses, local inhabitants, and vibrant markets. Meandering pathways adorned with infrastructure served as vital pedestrian links across ridges, bustling bazaars, and roads. Through these drawings, I captured the lively ambiance around Shimla, Rakkad, Dharmshala, and neighboring hill stations, reflecting the vibrant life and unique charm of these mountainous locales.

In Ganeshotsav 2021 and 2022, diverse renditions of Lord Ganesha were illustrated, celebrating the deity as the master of 64 arts. Using digital mediums, I ventured into crafting exquisite Ganesh illustrations. Uncommon color palettes, amalgamations of diverse patterns, and explorations of Ganesha in different times, moods, seasons, and postures defined this collection. Some portrayals even integrated musical instruments, earning acclaim from fellow artists. This series, appreciated for its creativity, delved into the depths of Ganesha's varied forms, resonating with diverse audiences and standing out as a cherished creation among my artistic endeavors.

In a captivating series of graphical nude sketches, the interplay of marker, alcoholic ink, and white charcoal on rustic brown packaging paper unveils a world of raw sensuality and profound depth. Each stroke masterfully captures not only the essence of the human form but also the subtle nuances of ambient lighting, resulting in a mesmerizing fusion of texture and emotion. This unconventional canvas serves as a raw yet evocative backdrop, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the intricate beauty of the human body and the emotive power of artistic expression.

This artistic endeavor provided a canvas to portray the interplay between urban landscapes, cultural elements, and the distinctive allure of my hometown, showcasing its essence through a blend of artistic mediums.

There are very few places where you can just be there and enjoy the company of nature. And there are even fewer places like these within a city. The Farm is a place for Love, Awareness and Learning. A love for the self and for the Earth, an awareness of our surroundings and our self and a learning from the animals and from the Earth herself.

This is a map of this beautiful campus where, we had opportunity to work on a mud building for more than 2 months. We were happy to work and enjoy the ambience, chirps & whistles.

The women in my family were hardly light-footed,
They have left behind footprints the size of green lush paddy fields,
They were nourished on the challenges they were continually fed,
Making them resilient in the face of advesity,
They carried water daintily uphill in nauvaris,
With kids and debts riding on their backs,
They turned bald barren hills into plantations,
and poverty and desolation to stability,
Their fatherless children, lived in the cocoon homes made by the soft muslin pallus of their sarees,
Children drew strength and courage from their fierce mothers who could look straight in eye of any danger or threat,
They did not raise sons and daughters,
They raised warriors that conquered wars,
I have their blood running through my veins,
It throbs steadily as they speak to me,
Words, I hear pounding in my heart,
Don't stop, do more, want more, take on life,
Life is not a battle, think of it as a storm,
That way there is acceptance without resentment,
The fight is for being unstoppable,
The fight is for surviving the odds,
If they left behind name and a fortune
that would have never interested me,
I was lucky to inherit all the "Never say die"
they wrote in my name,
Its that which continually guides and empowers me!

Falling in love over all night talks, bonding over a day ride and dreaming together over romantic evenings!

Atman is more than just a music album — it’s a meditative passage into the inner self. Through delicate textures, ambient layers, and spiritual undertones, Chaitanya Natu crafts a sonic landscape that invites the listener to journey inward. Each track feels like a breath, a memory, a whisper from within — encouraging stillness, self-reflection, and connection beyond words.

This is music not meant to be heard alone, but felt. It gently dissolves boundaries between sound and silence, between listener and creator. Atman is a deeply personal offering — and in listening, it somehow becomes yours too.

Over the course of a week in Singapore, I explored the city’s vibrant mix of culture, architecture, and everyday life, from iconic landmarks like Marina Bay Sands and the Chinese Garden to quieter streets and hidden corners within its urban landscape.
Between museum visits and long walks, I found small pauses in the day to sketch whatever caught my eye. Using nothing more than a black pen and an A5 sketchbook, I created 39 sketches that reflect Singapore’s unique rhythm, scale, and contrasts through lines instead of lenses.
This collection became more than a travel record; it evolved into a visual diary of fleeting moments and impressions. Every page marks a pause, a brief connection with place, people, and light.
After the Savannah and Simla series, this Singapore sketchbook stands out for its spontaneity, pace, and intensity. It represents a week-long journey distilled into a pocket-sized collection of drawings and memories.
